3 Fairs in Switzerland You Must Visit This Spring

Switzerland is in the heart of Europe and is ideal for international business. This country is known for its beautiful landscapes, delicious food, and incredible architecture. It also has a strong economy and hosts many prestigious fairs that attract the attention of many domestic and international visitors. Here are just some of the most popular ones.

Watches and Wonders

This event gathers top watchmakers, some of the most famous brands, and lovers of good watches in one place. This fair dates to 1991, when it was launched to showcase some of the finest details of Swiss watchmaking. It was called Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), and in 2020, it was renamed Watches and Wonders Geneva.

This fair gathers all lovers of quality watches. At this event, you will learn many interesting details about the creative and dynamic art of Swiss watchmaking. This year, the fair will be held from April 13th to 15th. You will learn extraordinary facts about the history of the most influential brands and the production of high-quality watches.

Initially, this event was closed to the public, and only a select few could attend, primarily industry professionals, journalists, and VIP clients. It has been open to the public only in the last few years. During three unforgettable days for watch lovers, you can attend exhibitions, product presentations, guided tours, and brand booth animations.

This fair also has a global character, with satellite events in key markets such as Miami and Shanghai. It is open Saturday - Sunday, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm, and Monday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Weinmesse Mittelland - wine fair

This fair occurs annually in the Mittelland region and celebrates its rich wine culture. At this event, wine lovers can explore the rich world of wine and taste a diverse selection of wines from domestic and foreign producers. This year, the festival takes place from April 12th to 14th.

Visitors can meet the producers behind their favorite wine brands and talk to the winemakers about the winemaking process, taste the wines, and hear the stories behind each bottle.

Educational seminars are also organized at the fair, where visitors can learn a lot from experienced sommeliers about trends in the wine industry and find out details about how best to pair wines with food. To complete the experience, you can also enjoy various gourmet specialties at the fair. At the producers' stands, you can try Swiss cheeses, chocolates, and delicious pastries and indulge in the gastronomic experience of wine tasting.

Central Switzerland Spring Fair - Luga

Luga is a spring Swiss fair with a tradition lasting over four decades. This traditional event takes place in Lucerne and has become a favorite in the region and throughout the country.

Exhibitors from various industries and fields, including gastronomy, home and garden decoration, crafts, and agriculture, participate in this fair. This family event offers lots of activities and fun for all ages. Visitors can enjoy carnival rides, musical performances, games, and interactive exhibitions.

This event has also promoted environmental sustainability in recent years. Many exhibitors present environmentally sustainable products and practices that promote a sustainable way of living and doing business. This fair is not just about trade. Luga also promotes Switzerland's cultural heritage, dance performances, traditional music, and folklore performances, providing participants with an insight into Switzerland's rich culture.
